Celebrating 14 years of royall!

@royall are immensely proud to share that we are celebrating our 14-year anniversary this month!

Jen Royall founded the business in 2009, as a specialist recruitment consultant who served the events industry. Fast-forward to 2023 and we are a premium search brand connecting world-class talent with the best agencies and brands in the creative communications and events sectors.


As we look ahead to 2024 and beyond, we strive not just to transition into exciting sectors such as visitor attraction and museums, but to be as strong there as we are in events and live communications, bringing hybrid, multi-skilled talent from these sectors to ensure we aren’t always recruiting ‘cookie-cutter’ candidates but ‘rebel’s as we call them, that thrive in breaking the ancillary moulds.


14 years is a significant milestone. From a business made up of Jen, her black book, recruitment experience and a mobile phone, to a highly credible team led by Susan Tarver our MD, and Naomi our Operations Lead, who both have been in the business for over a decade, what a proud retention stat that is!


In this time, we’ve achieved some incredible things. Most notably, working for the world’s best agency brands as preferred partners in recruitment for as long as we have existed.

Due to our reputation, however, we are meeting new clients and talent every day - it’s what we love to do most, connecting great people to do great things.

For @royall, it is not just about ‘people’, who we work for and what we do… or, ‘growth’, developing and holding a competitive advantage; it is about ‘sustainability’ too. What can we give back to ensure our company and culture is not just sustainable as a business and brand but stands the test of time, creates legacy, and is fully aware of our social and environmental impact?


How can we do better, whilst continuously reviewing our sustainability goals?

None of what we have achieved would have been possible without our own incredible talent who have been here almost as long as our Founder, and here is what they have to say:

Also, in our team we are fortunate to benefit from the expertise of two incredible volunteers and over ‘50s, Mike Royall our Commercial Lead and Karen Wilkins, our Development Lead. Both play a pivotal role collaborating with our Co-Directors Jen and Susan, to ensure we are actively set and exceed our goals within people, planet, and profit.

Certainly, at royall, the energy, determination, and purpose, alongside tremendous knowledge, and experience that we bring as recruiters ensures we are a diverse team. Jen is passionate about remaining highly relevant in today's dynamic recruitment landscape.

Furthermore, it's of utmost importance that we share our wisdom, experience, and insights to nurture the upcoming generations which is why we support our local University each year with a student project and make time to give back.


This year our annual student project is all about B Corp and we look to double our efforts locally for charities that are close to our heart.

Investing heavily in our marketing tools and tech means we are better seen, heard, and connected, and by constantly improving efficiencies in order to deliver.

Thank you to all our providers and suppliers, who enable our infrastructure to be as credible as it is.


Very Importantly, we’d like to take this special moment to thank ALL our clients and talent for their loyalty and amazing support.


We are working more closely than ever before; getting to know you all better is how we can ensure the ‘win’ when it comes to talent attraction.
