Me, Myself and I
As I step into a broader ‘blue skies’ role, I thought now would be a good time to share a little bit more about me.
The secret to my success is also my failing – I say yes to everything.
I am driven and determined, but success is also how you handle the knocks.
It is not easy having someone special leave you, romantically or professionally, especially when you have been in bed as long as Naomi and I have!
When things don’t always go according to plan, it is important to learn. I find I learn more from something that hasn’t worked out.
Family is the most important thing in my life and always will be. I don’t strive for fame and fortune, only to change behaviours and better the way in which talent is engaged, attracted, recruited and retained within the communications world, and hey – maybe even further beyond.
I am useless at ‘me’ time and relaxing. When I am supposed to be reading a book, I am reading events and marketing titles, or researching. Or helping my team wherever I can.
In our family, I realised we only had goals, but not values or principles. I look to change that this year.
Oh, and I loathe shopping full stop. I like to look good and feel good, but the last place you’ll find me is shopping. My food shop is ordered online and so is anything I buy for the home or myself and family.
