The opportunity


The Senior Project Manager, is a mid-level role within the company and is tasked with delivering the hyperserve approach to project delivery, ensuring projects are delivered efficiently.


The Senior Project Manager has ultimate responsibility and ownership of all projects assigned to them. The Senior Project Manager will normally be assigned more complex and higher value projects - our platinum clients - and therefore interact daily with external customers assigned to them. They are responsible for ensuring every element of their assigned projects meet and where possible, exceed the contracted deliverables.


The Senior Project Manager is also responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered to scope, on time and within budget. They act as a trusted advisor to customers through their project leadership expertise and must maintain skills and accreditations to ensure market-leading specialisation capability, which differentiates the offering.

Frequent support to the Commercial team, providing deep project knowledge and expertise to assist them to bid best practice and develop market leading solution proposals.


The Senior Project Manager will also act as a mentor to our Project Managers helping them to learn and develop new skills and approaches to enhance their performance.



Areas of Focus


  • Be able to take the lead on scoping and delivering the project response to our client’s brief.

  • Manage other Project Managers and maintain a support framework to allow them to develop new skills and approaches to their role.

  • Oversee deliverables of multiple projects and assist Project Lead on future departmental developments and hires.

  • Be the centre point for all project communications during a live project.

  • All client comms related to the project is owned by this role, ensuring the Commercial team work hand-in-hand with developing client and overall project objectives are met.

  • Ability to breakdown a brief into a scoping phase and then develop into a full budget.

  • Project manage allocated projects from confirmation to execution.

  • Own the project financials and deliver on agreed margin expectations.

  • Coordinate internal meetings to deliver the project.

  • Independent management of any project to which they are assigned. These will vary in both size, complexity and technology.

  • Management of customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle – excellent communication and risk management are essential to ensure first-rate customer relationships are created and maintained.

  • Provide support to the Commercial team in the form of pricing, meeting attendance, creation of project related documentation for tender responses and customer relationship building.

  • Provide project governance support for Company proposals by providing and/or reviewing project related content for/to Sales colleagues.

  • Responsibility for collating customer feedback for all milestones within your projects and feeding this into a larger Customer Satisfaction review.

  • Produce a post project reconciliation and evaluation report detailing the performance and delivery from all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure all operational requirements are delivered in line with H&S framework.

  • Ensure total viability of planned requirements are available to all business stakeholders.

  • Be the conduit between Commercial, Creative and the Production teams.

  • Support the business with internal events from an operations and operational and logistical stance.

  • Ensure onsite presence is executed to the highest possible standard.



Operational Functions that this role is responsible for:


  • From receipt of brief from Commercial team, formulate a response for delivering the project.

  • Deliver projects by running onsite operations, managing Project teams as needed.

  • Working alongside the Production department, develop the project budget, timeline and agree supply chain.

  • Lead the client communications across the lifecycle of the project, supported by the Commercial team where relevant.

  • Build relationships with suppliers and freelancers to widen the talent pool and drive efficiencies.

  • Own and manage all logistical requirements for successful project delivery, and drive efficiencies where possible across projects.

  • Ensure all H&S documentation is in order and adhered to, working alongside H&S partners.

  • Deliver against sustainability goals and look to embed these within project scope and look to action change with clients as we do so.

  • Ensure all internal systems are up to date to add value to reporting. WFM/Rentman.

  • Joint & sole attendance to project meetings and client pitches as required.

  • Collate and share actions and updates within the department and wider teams through regular status meetings.



Commercial Function that this role is responsible for:


  • Ownership of project budget and delivery.

  • Producing detailed quotations and delivering the response to the client’s brief.

  • Clear budget vs. actual reporting and RFQ management, communicating overspend to Commercial team to sign off/manage.

  • Management of all purchases and accurate administration to allow for project reconciliations.

  • Studio Function support:

  • Work with Studio to understand the creative response and deliver against it.

  • Add value through client insight and production knowledge to deliver end result.



Skills/Qualifications


  • Client facing, organised and charismatic demeanour.

  • Practically minded, creative solution-based thinking, a keen eye for detail.

  • Knowledge and experience in the experiential industries with a proven track record managing teams to deliver multiple projects and anyone time.

  • A high level of organisational skills and the ability to priorities multiple tasks.

  • Excellent reporting skills, a keen eye for detail.

  • An excellent communicator and team player, able to explain your thoughts to a varied group.

  • Adobe Creative suite – Acrobat Pro and CAD/Layout a bonus.

  • Able to efficiently use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

  • Full Clean UK Driving Licence.

  • Ability and willingness to travel overseas.
