Purpose
Responsible for the development and delivery of all live projects delivering its commercial and quality output. The function will require strong organisational, management and communication skills, though working as a team player who can work alone, and as part of a Global network.

You will be expected to form key relationships with and be an advocate for the clients and an ambassador for the Company.
The Senior Production Manager is responsible for the direct report of any project the Production team are delivering on their Projects. Managing, mentoring, training, and inspiring the team and sub-contractors to achieve excellence by personally delivering where needed and delegating tasks where appropriate.
Your ability as a Production Manager is a prerequisite of the role, the differentiator to this senior position is the ability to oversee numerous projects and respective production managers across varied sectors and production outputs.
The event production department delivers a vital element for continuing company growth, through delivering successful projects and developing strong relationships with suppliers and freelancers to deliver these effectively.
A major part of the role is to work closely with the studio. Acting as a crucial link and conduit between receiving a conceptual visual of the project and the production methodology to deliver.
Championing the technical translation and detailing of this, to ensure excellence in production whilst balancing quality with budget constraints.
Operational Functions that this role is responsible for:
Having visibility on all Live projects going through the business and hold core accountability from Quality Control and financial management thereof. Feedback and reporting on this on weekly status with HOD.
Have visibility of production aspects of live projects (SET/AV/Technical Production/Graphics)
Support the HOD in aiding team development through the above-mentioned disciplines and upskilling where possible.
Resource management, supporting the HOD to ensure delivery teams are specified and resourced correctly and guidance on what suppliers should or can be used.
Recruit, Manage, and Retain an excellent network of freelancers to deliver expertise on projects at the right time, right price, and quality.
Provide day-to-day support to all production managers and offer production advice to the wider team where relevant.
Constant refinement of supplier base (supporting the HOD) – Understanding their offering and defining their Commercial Terms.
Ensure all Health and Safety documentation relating to the project is in order and widely available to all concerned.
Client presentation support where necessary, supporting on Pitch or scoping new opportunities where required.
Ensuring the Production Managers produce a post project reconciliation and evaluation report detailing the results and performance, to be made available for all internal and external stakeholders.
To lead enthusiastically within the company, ensuring that jnr staff are nurtured and given the confidence to develop. Look to understand their challenges and support growth.
Aid in future product / material adoption. Stay ahead of the trends with a progressive approach to new products and methodologies.
Create a process that monitor the departments time across projects both, external and internal.
Creation and development of departmental templates and documents
Provide formal and informal budget estimates
Commercial Function that this role is responsible for:
Oversight of delivery of all projects. Working with the team to ensure that GP expectations are managed and communicated, projects are within budget and inline with expected KPI.
Supporting the team in ensuring that thorough procurement procedures are developed and followed
Raising PO on WFM with job requirements.
Preparation and management for the purchase order process through WFM
Ensuring commercial reconciliation of all live projects.
Ensuring that each project is reviewed and learnings are derived, as per the SPARK internal process
Technical Functions that this role is responsible for:
Technical detailing is at the heart of all solutions, this ethos needs to be carried out in all undertakings.
This function needs to be carried out either via inhouse resource or through an extended freelance network. The tasks include;
Site surveying
Technical drawing
Contractor briefing
Document production (Production Packs)
Skills/Qualifications
Practically minded, creative solution-based thinking, a keen eye for detail.
Knowledge and experience in the events industry, with a specialism within production
5 years experience within a similar role.
A high level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.
An excellent communicator and ability to manage onsite crew.
Able to efficiently use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint &Teams).
Able to efficiently use Technical Design software (Sketch Up / CAD) is essential
Able to use Adobe suite is a bonus
