Purpose


Responsible for the development and delivery of specific live projects delivering its commercial and quality output. The function will require strong organisational, management and communication skills, though working as a team player who can work alone, and as part of a Global network.


To deliver exceptional customer experience in the most cost effective and efficient manner.


You will be expected to form key relationships with and be an advocate for the clients and an ambassador for the Company.


The event production department delivers a vital element for continuing company growth, through delivering successful projects and developing strong relationships with suppliers and freelancers to deliver these effectively.


You will need to work closely with the studio. Being the crucial link and conduit between receiving a conceptual visual of the project and the production methodology to deliver.


Championing the technical translation and detailing of this, to ensure excellence in production whilst balancing quality with budget constraints.



Key responsibilities


Operational Functions that this role is responsible for:


  • Manage all Production Aspects of the Job (SET /AV/ Rigging/ Graphics)

  • Onsite Build/Live and Derig Management

  • Client presentation support where necessary

  • Produce a post project reconciliation and evaluation report detailing the performance and delivery from all internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ensure all operational requirements are delivered in line with H&S framework Ensure total visibility of planned requirements are available to a Global network.

  • Delivering production requirements on budget and with a Commercial awareness.

  • To lead all supplier communication throughout the delivery stage

  • Provide formal and informal budget estimates

  • Make recommendations to the Senior Project Manager of known and trusted freelancers to enable the Company to Recruit, Manage, and Retain an excellent network to deliver expertise on projects at the right time, right price and quality.

  • Ensure good communication between departments – ensuring that all contributors have the appropriate information.


Commercial Function that this role is responsible for:


  • Raising PO on WFM with job requirements.

  • Preparation and management for the purchase order process through WFM.

  • Ensuring commercial reconciliation of all projects.

  • Ensuring that each project is reviewed, and learnings are derived, as per the SPARK internal process.


Technical Functions that this role is responsible for:


  • Technical detailing is at the heart of all solutions, this ethos needs to be carried out in all undertakings.

  • This function needs to be carried out either via inhouse resource or through an extended freelance network. The tasks include;

  • Site surveying

  • Technical drawing

  • Contractor briefing

  • Document production (Production Packs)

  • Dependent on the type of job – with all the information gathered (as stated above) devise a document detailing all sections of the production work required for the team you have gathered for the project.



Skills/Qualifications:


  • Practically minded, creative solution-based thinking, a keen eye for detail.

  • Knowledge and experience in the events industry, with a specialism within production

  • An excellent understanding of health and safety, ensuring a safe working environment for all on-site colleagues.

  • Prince 2 or equivalent qualification would be preferable

  • 3 years’ experience within a similar role.

  • A high level of organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks.

  • An excellent communicator and ability to manage onsite crew.

  • Able to efficiently use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint &Teams).

  • Able to efficiently use Technical Design software (Sketch Up / CAD) is essential

  • Able to use Adobe suite is a bonus
