The role of Junior Project Manager will be an integral support role on a variety of projects, by efficiently, flexibly, and pro-actively helping their main line Producer or Project Director.


This operational role means supporting, and sometimes leading, the various production processes of insight gathering, helping interpret that evidence, then designing the experience and delivering it faultlessly then measuring the impact of the project and making recommendations on any continuous improvement.

With a confident approach and positive outlook, the Junior Project Manager, Junior Producer enables the Producer and wider project team to always deliver outstanding results and exceptional client service. The core role of the Junior Event Project Manager is supportive and multi-disciplinary and will cover a variety of roles - sometimes on the same project – including digital, production, technical, content, research, logistics, admin including budget monitoring and of course excellent client and supplier contact. In addition to this, part of the role will be to support the Business Development function of the business from an administrative perspective.



What do you do, day to day?


Operational role (in no priority)

  • During any project management, the Junior Project Manager or Junior Event Manager would seek to develop and build strong, trusted business relationships with agency peers, clients and suppliers e.g. to build on the project work currently being undertaken

  • Production duties cover elements such as creative, digital, content, technical, admin and budgetary via PROCIM.

  • To be an active member of a pitch team as required. In doing so to work closely with a ‘pitch leader’ to then help research, curate and develop a credible creative, on-brand and on-budget response – all in an accurate and timely manner too.

  • Helps set up and attends regular internal and external creative and content meetings – and proactively contributes to such meetings. Would be expected to present confidently at both internal, supplier and external client meetings.

  • Documents and records meetings and compiles timely, accurate, succinct draft contact reports for onward external distribution within 24 hrs of any major meeting

  • Liaise and negotiate on better rates and services with suppliers, venues and other service providers

  • Input accurate and timely project costing data into PROCIM to provide valid costings for the Producer/Project Director. To undertake internal and external PROCIM training to become quickly adept and competent in using this system.

  • Logistics support includes – research and investigate venue both in UK/internationally, set up and undertake comprehensive site inspections, (often accompanying clients), negotiate with venues and other suppliers to ensure the best rates are offered to clients and attend venue and logistics supplier meetings

  • With prior support and communication to smoothly deputise for Producer/Project Director and other event project members on occasion

  • Complete insurance documents, risk assessment and event safety files

  • Responsible for managing cash whilst on site and reporting to Producer all receipts & invoices

  • Post-production responsibilities including helping on financial reconciliation plus any goods & materials returned from the event and helping any archiving of such material



Business Development Support: research and coordination (in no priority)


  • Working closely with business development team in researching and gathering intelligence and insight into target clients and market sectors – all based on a coherent sales process and regular management of a dedicated and simple CRM sales system

  • To help prepare case studies and credential presentations for leaders to use – often at short notice

  • Proactively support company social media marketing tools, and maintain a clear and thorough understanding of monthly social media metrics/analytics

  • Help maintain and support marketing ‘tool-box’ - this includes website/case studies/newsletters/credentials/any PR and Award Entries.

  • To attend regular weekly meetings on business development and minute main actions arising
