Our client is an incredible Events & Communications Agency who create outstanding live brand and live events experiences. Their work includes experiential marketing campaigns, product launches, conferences, incentive programmes, exhibitions, VIP experiences, store launches, hospitality programmes, digital campaigns, brand films, internal communications programmes and much more!

They are actively recruiting within their event production team. If you are an experience Producer or Senior Producer with extensive experience of managing large scale events and conferences, we would love to hear from you.

This role will work in collaboration with the wider business on global events and working on productions for world-class blue-chip clients.

Working closely with a talented team, you will be responsible for creative and operational event production to include content.

Head of HR, People and Culture

This is a hands-on role in a medium size business. Responsible for providing a full range of HR support across the business to achieve embedded processes across the company and enable the appropriate level of support, training, and development of employees. Guardian of the People Experience for the Agency and of the companies Culture. To work collaboratively with colleagues and provide a people focused service.

Key Responsibilities & Outcomes

  • To be the owner of all HR processes within the company

  • To be the Guardian of the People experience internally and the driver and guardian of the Culture in a fast-paced global environment. Implement strategies that can span across some of the following:

  • Social community

  • Mindfulness and Support

  • Recognition and One Team approach (collaboration)

  • Training and Development

  • Internal Communication (own, improve and drive communication with the employees across the business)

  • To be a valued member of the Senior Management Team (SMT) and provide a HR view across the business. Ensuring that all strategic policies have an HR angle and that this is considered at all necessary points. Key element of the role is building a relationship across the business.

  • Understanding of US culture and working practices to ensure our language, messaging and processes are aligned to US culture and integrate

  • Working with Managing Director to drive and implement the HR strategy, plans and agenda across the business.

  • Drive a strategy and plan and measurement of success around the protecting and conveying of the company’s culture in a growing and global environment. Integrate the ‘People First’ value across the touchpoints to ensure employee happiness, retention and attracting new talent.

  • Work with key members of the SMT to drive a talent plan – both for existing and new employees

  • Drive and Integrate training across the business in line with the feedback from HoDs and the review process. Own the training budget.

  • Put in place a structured schedule for team-based training throughout the company calendar. Drive and own strategies for Diversity and Inclusion across the business globally

  • Put in place appropriate tools and support the team in fulfilling individual employee requirements

  • Manage the HR Assistant and ensure that they are providing full administrative support to allow for efficient running of the HR function. Ensure that all records and information is kept current and accurate and complies with UK GDPR requirements

  • Be the driving force behind the Great Places To Work (GPTW) survey initiative to ensure we are successful in securing this year

  • Put in place appropriate tools and via line managers manage throughout the company the employee review process to include 1:1 meeting, annual review meetings; setting of employee objectives; Personal Development Plans, to include the recording via Cezanne of relevant notes and outcomes

  • Be part of the employee salary review process

  • Develop strong working relationships with external recruitment agencies

  • Working closely with Finance Director to ensure accurate payroll changes each month

  • Own the company Employee Handbooks (both US and US) and ensure all policies are up to date and provide knowledge share across the team of those policies.

  • Stay abreast of HR law and regulations (both in the UK and US) and, in consultation with legal professionals, ensure that the companies HR documentation, policies and practices always remain legally compliant

  • Motivate the social committee to create and produce meaningful team “moments” and connections to ensure various events are taking place across the yearly calendar

  • Own the hiring process and be responsible for facilitating the attraction and hiring of great people and work with key SMT members and HR Assistant to manage and develop the employee onboarding process

  • Provide professional advice, insight and mentoring to Line mangers to help them to better provide support across the company

  • Quarterly reporting around performance management and ongoing observations/training needs to ensure the business and its business and its employees are measured and assessed

  • Continue to digitise our processes and documents – employment documentation, freelancer paperwork etc, video-based training, increased use of the company software whilst careful balancing with the need to remain “human” in important interactions

  • Steer and own the Onboarding process for new joiners, working closely with HR Assistant and Business Operations Manager


  • Minimum CIPD Level 5 qualification

  • Previous HR experience in a similar sized organisation

  • Strong administration skills in a fast-paced environment

  • A track record of delivering high quality people focused services

  • Proven Excel and Powerpoint skills at intermediate or advanced level and sound ICT skills in general
