Role Description
We are seeking a a passionate, driven and creative senior event manager, to join this super special, corporate and private events company - specialising in immersive experiences for children and adults in the UK and overseas. They are working on some seriously exciting events in the pipeline for 2022 and thus we are looking for someone who is organised, creative and keen to embrace a new challenge.
With offices in London and Bristol they employ a core team of 17 staff, supported by a party team of over 200 freelancers, who are kept very busy managing an average of two hundred events a month.
Their clients are corporate companies the actual events they organise are anything but, they range from adult’s treasure hunts (with a twist!), to children’s Christmas parties for 1000 guests, to charity days and film screenings. They are developing the international side of their business planning events abroad, so they anticipate that opportunities for travel to support the management of these events in the future.
Purpose
The Senior Event Planner or Senior Event Manager, serves as the direct lead and client point of contact for meeting, event and conference and or incentive delivery covering all areas of project scope, scheduling, budget, resource and/or billable components.
The position provides consistent and effective management, focused on client engagement and management. With specific oversight of company targets relevant to events and individual project deliverables. Ensuring the agency delivers quality work on time, and on budget that meets or exceeds client expectations. The Senior Events Manavger is responsible for the client relationship as well as leading all elements across client, logisitcs, and end to end delivery.
Additionally in collaboration with the Events Director the Senior Event Producer will work on the production of an events strategy for clients, agreeing overall growth plans, budget and staffing levels needed to manage grow, and sustain profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Creative brainstorming and subsequent development and implementation of ideas for both virtual and real life events
Creating a new business strategy including our first industry showcase
Providing detailed costings of events in line with relevant budgets
Creating detailed event proposals for clients using Adobe InDesign
Supporting other members of the corporate team
Scheduling, preparing for and attending client meetings
Meticulously planning and executing events for children and adults including but not limited to liaising with suppliers and venues, hiring or commissioning props and sets, sourcing wild and wonderful things and overseeing set up and take down
Genuinely understanding the feasibility of ideas in the context of each event
Experience and skills we are looking for
Three to four years proven and demonstrable experience in the corporate events world.
Proficiency using a range of office software, including GDrive, booking software/CRM, Zoom and design software ie InDesign
Meticulously organised and forward thinking
Ability to work autonomously under the direction from senior team members
Punctual and reliable with a flexible approach to work
Experience working on multiple events at one time
A ‘can do’ and proactive attitude
Excellent attention to detail
Effective time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks/projects against tight deadlines
Excellent phone manner and verbal communication skills
The ability to develop good working relationships with clients and team members
Competency in using social networking sites such as LinkedIn
Exhibit drive, initiative and enthusiasm
The ability to be adaptive and responsive to problem solve whilst remaining calm under pressure and professional at all times
Friendly, enthusiastic and personable
Network - must have an excellent black book of talent, venues and supplier contacts
The role is full time, to commence at the earliest opportunity. Salary for this role will be subject to experience with the additional payment of a company performance based bonus. The role is predominantly London based with some flexibility for home working.
