We are looking for an Event Sales Manager:
Will be a member of the UKI Business Development Team and be responsible for generating new business opportunities for M&E – focusing on the development of new live events and group travel business as a priority. Key responsibilities of the role will be to:
Drive business growth by identifying and converting new business opportunities within target accounts in various industry verticals while using a consultative sales approach. Remove obstacles that are barriers to successful sales.
Develop new business from within a pre-defined prospect portfolio – potentially including existing Business Travel clients and/or existing M&E SMM clients
Develop strategic sales plan for each prospect company in conjunction with colleagues from relevant Programme Management team and colleagues within M&E operations as appropriate
Proactive networking and prospecting within each agreed target to execute the plan and communicate proposition to senior decision makers and influencers – primarily C-Suite contacts, senior purchasing staff, heads of internal event management teams and other individuals with purchasing responsibility for large live events.
Bring new briefs and /or pitch opportunities to the table within our core service areas – Live events, Group travel, venue sourcing and SMM
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure we convert briefs and pitch opportunities into new business wins.
Persuasively delivering dynamic presentations, resulting in profitable relationships and ongoing sales
Maintain records and up-to-date client information on all prospects, target accounts, and new clients through the CRM Tool
Revenue generated from new business
Value of approved briefs and pitches brought in to the agency
Number of qualified prospects added to our CRM system
Min 5 years of Meetings & Events related sales experience with demonstrated success and proven track record (SMM programs and live events)
Extensive direct selling experience in high-profile Fortune 500 global clients
Extensive experience in the application of solution selling models & creation of strategies & plans to achieve new business targets
Experience in direct accountability for driving aggressive sales goals, with demonstrated success in winning large scale projects and closing strategic contract sales.
Experience managing a high performing sales team
Strong knowledge of the sales lifecycle
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and related software (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
Working knowledge of CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
Excellent oral/written/interpersonal communication skills to communicate internally and externally.
Proven ability to give persuasive, articulate presentations
Excellent financial and business acumen. Excellent contract negotiation and problem solving skills.
Ability to independently sell and drive results in various industry verticals and in multi-national/multi-cultural environment.
Ability to develop value propositions for prospects. Ability to interface with buyers professionally.
Ability to set priorities and work in a fast-paced, multi-project environment. Strong attention to detail. Work well as a team player. Self-motivated. Ability to be creative in developing solutions.
