Role Description

  • To strategically oversee and manage multiple concurrent event projects while growing client relationships and managing multiple project and departmental budgets

  • Ultimately responsible for successful delivery of projects in line with agreed KPIs and client expectations

  • Responsible for managing key account deliverables against the scope of work, across a range of clients and industry sectors

  • Responsible for maintaining and growing existing clients and working within the Client Services team on new business and identifying areas of collaboration with all departments

  • Leading on creation and delivery of new business proposals and pitches

  • Add value to the existing team with industry knowledge and share best practice and polices development

  • Driving a team to be commercially aware and in control of their own projects’ profitability while looking for the next new business or repeat business opportunity

  • Raise the profile of the event offerings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee and   approve budgets, Scope of works and Purchase Order, MSAs and contracts   ensuring commercial viability

  • Provide and present regular client account reports to Line Manager, in regards to resource, revenues and profit

  • Ensure team are compliant working to GDPR guidelines and regulation

  • Stress testing all events. Double checking all client and staffing briefing documents before an event takes place


  • At least 5 years industry experience in a similar role

  • Involved in on-going professional development

  • Fully literate in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook. Procim and Smartsheet experience preferable

Key Skills and Experience

  • Experience in line management of a high performing events team

  • Familiarity with pitch /proposal preparation process and competing for new business

  • The highest levels of account handling / client relationship expertise

  • Team leadership and strategic skills

  • Creative and calm approach

  • People outside the industry are encouraged to apply
