Our client is a dynamic experiential and marketing company based in Northamptonshire who believe the experience is everything!  Due to a busy events calendar they have an exciting opportunity for an Event Project Manager to be responsible for the development, organisation and delivery of projects from proposal to live event.

The Role of Project Manager

You will be delivering events on time, within budget and that meet (and hopefully exceed) expectations as part of this role.  As part of this you will set, communicate and maintain timelines on every project; manage supplier relationships; follow procedures to ensure  projects are delivered efficiently; travel on-site for inspections and live events; attend regular client meetings; be responsible for all project budgets from start to finish; and ensure excellent customer service and quality delivery at all times.

Main duties of the Project Manager role:

Account Management

  • Understand & keep abreast of business objectives and long term plan for automotive client’s business & their broader marketing activity

  • Come up with creative ideas & plans for events/activities/stand equipment to hit target markets

  • Carry out site visits of potential events/venues/hotels & report back to the automotive client

  • Support new products to market

  • Where applicable integrate wider marketing activity into events program (i.e. campaigns, finance offers etc)

  • Where applicable integrate the automotive partner companies into events

Qualifications and attributes

  • Customer focused and commercial acumen

  • Excellent communicator – diplomacy is paramount

  • Brilliant interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

  • Multi-tasker, able to work in a pressurised environment

  • Excellent project management skills. 

  • Taking ownership and responsibility

  • Attention to detail and thorough administration skills essential

  • Strong selling and negotiation skills

  • Budget & financial management

  • Good standard of English – both written & oral

  • Strong IT skills that are continually improved

  • Degree educated

  • Full driving license

You must have had hands-on event management experience with a minimum of 3 years’ experience, ideally gained from working within an events agency. Automotive experience would be a bonus.
