They are looking for an Account Lead for Communications and Engagement, Pharmaceutical. Do you have experience with leading, strategically growing and delivering a range of client accounts? Have you worked with Pharma clients and do you you have full knowledge of Congress Management? If so, please read on!

The Role of the Account Lead

  • Assume overall responsibility for the day to day management and delivery of client services briefs through active team management and distribution of workload

  • Set the quality of work standard and be the client’s escalation point

  • Effectively manage the delivery of income targets set for the account or account portfolio

  • Be able to contribute to strategically focused creative briefs, idea generation and campaign execution, ensuring they adhere to the client’s brand, policies and relevant legal / regulatory restrictions where necessary

  • Continuously adapt and adjust approaches to benefit the client needs ensuring high standards of client satisfaction, and adapt the company account plan where necessary

  • Maximise income opportunities whilst providing best value for the client, feeding back to the designated line manager with improvements and New Business Opportunities

  • Lead Business Review Meetings with the key client stakeholders

  • Ensure metrics and effective record keeping enable timely client reporting, and provide useful data for commercial discussions

  • Foster Key internal business relationships, i.e. Creative, Finance, Human Resources, IT, Live Production, Video etc.

  • Ensure compliance of all activity with relevant industry standards

  • Participate and support the culture of the company

What are we looking for in the Account Services Lead – Pharma

This exciting opportunity for an energetic, enthusiastic and ambitious Senior Account Manager / Account Director / Head of Client services and it is essential that you have worked with Pharmaceutical clients in the past and have a proven track record of managing high-performing project teams and pharma client accounts to join a growing company working across a broad range of projects for a variety of clients.

  • You will need to be an experienced senior project manager to both oversee the delivery of a number of sold projects.

  • Events include press launches and conferences

  • Complex budget management, reconciliation and good understating of ROI and evaluating techniques.

  • You will need to be able to work under pressure, have extremely good communication skills and a sharp attention to detail. A positive, flexible and adaptable and be exceptionally organised, and an ability to plan their own and more junior colleagues’ time well.

  • Able to identify and challenge client’s strategic direction, market trends, key stakeholders

  • Confident to propose and lead bold innovative solutions

  • Excellent business development experience and confidence

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Warm, positive and open personality

  • Strong leadership skills

  • Excellent financial and commercial understanding

  • Confident communicator


Key skills / experience of the Account Lead

  • Proven track record of over 5 years’ experience in event/project management with at least 3 in a team management capacity. A good proportion of this must have been spent in the pharma sector, and full knowledge of congress management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Knowledge of working with Microsoft Office tools

  • Ability to grasp complex concepts quickly and pay attention to minute detail. To this end, a detailed knowledge of the intricacies automotive events and vehicle logistics will be essential

  • Excellent negotiating and organisation skills

  • Experience of small team management

  • A clean, full UK driving licence

  • Flexibility to work to deadlines and to work away from home
