Our client is a nurturing, family owned events agency based in Northamptonshire who believe experience is everything!  Due to a busy events calendar they have an exciting opportunity for an Event Project or Account Director with extensive event management experience to shape their future plans and lead a dedicated team across a wide and diverse range of fantastic events within the automotive sector.

Responsibilities of the Event Project/Account Director include:

  • Management of the agency’s 6-person project management team

  • Leadership of the agency’s event calendar to maintain exceptional delivery standards and attention to detail across all events

  • Senior level client liaison and event planning

  • Strategic direction of the agency’s automotive account

  • Event solution development and pitching

  • Event reporting – delivering analysis & insight across the event portfolio to demonstrate success against client objectives and continuous improvement

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities

  • Creative and able to prioritise tasks in the face of a high volume of challenges

  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in event management/planning/directing

The successful person!

The successful person for the role of Project/Account Director will have extensive event management experience, and will have managed an events project management team in a similar fast-paced agency environment. Strong people management skills in addition to exceptional client and supplier management experience are essential.  Any exposure to working on exhibition builds would be an added benefit but is not essential for the role. A passion for, interest in or experience of working in the automotive sector is a must.
