Role Description

Our client is an incredible Events & Communications Agency who create outstanding live brand and live events experiences. Their work includes experiential marketing campaigns, product launches, conferences, incentive programmes, exhibitions, VIP experiences, store launches, hospitality programmes, digital campaigns, brand films, internal communications programmes and much more!

They are actively recruiting within their event production team. If you are an experience Producer or Senior Producer with extensive experience of managing large scale events and conferences, we would love to hear from you.

This role will work in collaboration with the wider business on global events and working on productions for world-class blue-chip clients.

Working closely with a talented team, you will be responsible for creative and operational event production to include content.

Purpose – Event Director

Overall Responsibility 

Accountable for managing client relationships, deliverables, and expectations. Working closely with the respective Account Directors, you will provide leadership on specific projects and support to the team. You will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a seamless, high-quality service and exceptional client experience, whilst ensuring events are profitable and identifying future business opportunities. You will be responsible for coordinating/leading the different teams and services on specific projects and events, to ensure flawless delivery and maximised communications internally and with clients and suppliers.


  • Build and own strong relationships with clients to understand their short and long term needs and provide advice and guidance on events; proactively resolve any issues or complaints and develop high levels of trust and commitment 

  • Lead on the project management for events as directed, ensuring project documentation is up to date, accurate and agreed parameters and budgets are met and staff take ownership of tasks assigned to them.

  • Understand the event objectives, internal and external resource requirements, logistical and venue requirements, and translate these into a detailed project plan, including owning and ensuring proposals for events are commercially viable by working closely with colleagues to develop timely and accurate budgets

  • Own and proactively manage event budgets identifying issues and addressing these early with colleagues or clients, as appropriate, with the aim of delivering outstanding value for money for the client

  • Sound understanding of the relationship between environment, design, storytelling and logistics in producing memorable experiences and experience of working with production lead projects

  • Act as mentor and role model to more junior, less experienced team members to promote best practice in Project Management and develop company talent

  • Negotiate, scrutinise, and manage supplier contracts to ensure value for money and consistent delivery to agreed standards and deadlines

  • Seek to continuously improve events and efficiency of the team through analysis of data gathered during and post show to allow trend predictions for future years and to deliver a client improvement plan after every show

  • Demonstrate the company values at all times.

  • Significant project management at a senior level, running multiple projects to deadlines and budget including incentive travel and meetings/conferences

  • Excellent customer service skills and client focus

  • Strong diplomacy and negotiating skills

  • Good logistical management skills, ideally in hospitality /events business

  • Strong financial and business acumen with experience of contract management

  • Proven Excel skills at advanced level and sound ICT skills in general.

Other Requirements

  • Quiet home environment from which to work for up to two days per week (although the successful candidate may be required to be office based on more than three days during busy periods, to aid team collaboration or meet client needs)

  • Minimum of 10MB download and 2MB upload speed for home broadband capacity to meet our homeworking business requirements

  • Liking for and ability to undertake international travel thorough the calendar
